Peatix Presents with the Wesleyan Entrepreneurship Society

Join Peatix's CEO and team for a presentation and Q&A on global entrepreneurship at the Wesleyean Entrepreneurship Society's weekly meeting
Peatix is a do it yourself group (and ticket) management platform that originated in Japan in 2011 and is currently expanding in the United States. Through Peatix’s “Back to School” initiative, they will visit Wesleyan University to provide students with insight and guidance on global entrepreneurship, how to work at and run a startup company and how to organize great campus events through Peatix’s platform.

At the Wesleyan Entrepreneurship Society’s November 10th meeting, Peatix’s CEO Taku Harada will provide a presentation along with a Q&A session about how he became a successful global entrepreneur and currently manages Peatix’s teams in New York, Tokyo, Singapore and Malaysia. Taku founded Peatix together with his former colleagues at Amazon, and has served as its CEO since its inception. Taku also held the position of Representative Director and CEO of YOOX Japan until August 2009. Prior to YOOX, Taku held various positions at Amazon Japan including head of its mobile and online marketing divisions. He also launched the iTunes Music Store in Japan while at Apple in 2005 and led its marketing team. Taku began his career at Sony Music Entertainment's international business affairs division in Japan. He holds a B.A. from Yale University.

Taku will bring his New York team with him, including Daniel De Rienzo (Wesleyan 2011) to discuss how his Wesleyan experience prepared him for a career in startups. The team will also demo Peatix's new product updates.

Dinner will be provided and catered by a Main Street restaurant.
